Your data stays on your device

QuitsUp keeps your Groups, people, expenses, receipts, settlements and loans on your iPhone. There is no QuitsUp account, and QuitsUp has no server that receives your data.

Shared Groups

If you share a Group, its records are stored in your own iCloud account using Apple CloudKit, and the people you share it with can see and change that Group. The developer of QuitsUp cannot read them. Groups you do not share never leave your device. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

Location

Location is off unless you turn it on in Settings. When it is on, QuitsUp uses your location only while you use the app, to suggest a currency and to tag an expense with where it happened. It is never used in the background, and you can turn it off at any time.

Camera, receipts and photos

The camera is used only when you choose to scan a receipt. Receipt images stay on your device, or in a shared Group if you add them to one.

No tracking

QuitsUp does not track you. It has no analytics and no advertising, and it does not share data with third parties.

Deleting your data

Delete a Group in QuitsUp to remove it and its records. Deleting the app removes all QuitsUp data from your device. Leaving a shared Group removes your access to it.
